Traditional Holden-versus-Ford sedan racing, and one of the most accessible ways into circuit competition in the state. The series pits six-cylinder Commodores and Falcons head-to-head on circuits around Victoria under Motorsport Australia's Group 3K Saloon Car rules. The category was created as a low-cost, amateur sedan racing formula — originally built around large Australian sedans of early-1990s vintage such as the Holden VN/VP Commodore and Ford EA/EB Falcon, deliberately restricted to six-cylinder models (rather than V8s) to keep costs down and the racing tight. The cars are only lightly modified from their road-going form, with the changes focused on safety. The result is affordable, door-to-door racing that taps straight into Australia's great Holden–Ford rivalry.
