Production Cars — Road cars racing much as they left the showroom, with safety gear and only limited modifications so driver skill decides the result. Known globally as showroom stock or series production and formalised internationally through the FIA's Group N, it fills grids with recognisable street machinery — hot hatches, sedans, coupes and sports cars — split into performance classes. Each country runs its own version.
