Experience a night of focused track activity at the SMSP Drift Matsuri, hosted by the Australian Drift Club. Taking place at Sydney Motorsport Park South Circuit, this event brings together a dedicated community for an evening dedicated to the art of drifting. The South Circuit provides a technical layout that challenges drivers to refine their technique under the stadium lights. Spectators can witness a variety of drift-prepared vehicles navigating the course. Because driver entries are capped, there is constant movement on the track, offering a better viewing experience without long lulls between sessions. It is a practical, grassroots environment where the focus remains on car control and skill development in a controlled setting. For those looking to get closer to the action, passenger spots are available, allowing you to ride along and feel the dynamics of a drift car firsthand. The event operates with a clear schedule, starting with gates opening in the late afternoon and track activity running late into the evening, providing a unique atmosphere for fans and participants alike.

Drivers and passengers must wear non-flammable clothing (no nylon) covering from neck to wrists to ankles, along with enclosed shoes and socks. Helmets must meet specific safety standards including FIA 8860, AS1698, ECE 22-05, or Snell SA2000. A valid Motorsport Licence is required for all drivers. Vehicles must be drift-prepared, in good mechanical condition, and cleared of all loose interior items before passing an on-site technical inspection.

Sydney Motorsport Park, located in Eastern Creek, New South Wales, is one of Australia's premier motor racing facilities and the only permanent race track in the Sydney metropolitan area. Opened in 1990 as Eastern Creek International Raceway, the venue was originally built to host the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Today, it is owned by the New South Wales Government and operated by the Australian Racing Drivers' Club (ARDC), serving as a world-class hub for both professional competition and community motorsport enthusiasts. The venue is celebrated for its versatility, offering four distinct track configurations including the 3.93km Gardner GP Circuit and the technical 4.5km Brabham Extended Circuit. One of its most striking features is the state-of-the-art stadium lighting system installed in 2020, which enables high-octane night racing. This has made the 'Sydney SuperNight' a flagship event on the Supercars Championship calendar, creating a vibrant, electrified atmosphere that allows fans to enjoy the action long after the sun goes down. Beyond professional racing, Sydney Motorsport Park is a central pillar of Australian car and bike culture. It regularly hosts the world-renowned World Time Attack Challenge, the Australian Superbike Championship, and various drifting and TCR events. With its famous high-speed Turn 1 and a comprehensive suite of facilities including a floodable skidpan and the Australian Motorsport Innovation Precinct, the park offers a professional yet accessible environment for everyone from elite drivers to track-day novices.

Sydney Motorsport Park is situated approximately 40 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD and is easily accessible via the city's major motorway network. If you are driving from the city, take the M4 Western Motorway and exit at Reservoir Road or Wallgrove Road. Those coming from the north or south can utilize the M7 Westlink, exiting at Wallgrove Road or The Horsley Drive. The main entrance is Gate A, located on Ferrers Road. Ample on-site parking is available for spectators, with designated areas for cars and motorcycles typically accessed through Gate A or Gate B. During major international events, additional parking is often opened at the adjacent Sydney Dragway (Gate D). If you prefer public transport, the nearest major rail hub is Blacktown Station; from there, it is highly recommended to take a short taxi or rideshare trip to the circuit, as local bus services to the precinct can be irregular.
