Street Machine Drag Challenge 2026 (Day 1)

Street Machine Drag Challenge is a multi-day drag-and-drive event that tests the limits of street-legal vehicles. Unlike traditional drag racing held at a single venue, this event requires participants to drive their competition cars over a significant road loop between multiple tracks, proving that these machines are as capable on the highway as they are on the drag strip. The event spans five days of competition, where entrants must complete the road journey and record competitive times at each scheduled track. It is an opportunity to witness a wide variety of automotive engineering, from classic muscle cars to modern forced-induction builds, all pushed to their limits in a unique format. Originating in 2014, the event has grown from a small gathering into a major fixture on the Australian motorsport calendar. Spectators can follow the action as the field travels between venues, offering a rare chance to see these vehicles in a road-going environment before watching them perform on the track.
