Barely twenty-four hours after the Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek Boxing Day opener at Murray Bridge, the Speedweek convoy packs up and hauls east to Bordertown for Round 2 at Tolmer Speedway. Tolmer is one of the newest additions to the trail, a fresh circuit that has quickly earned its place among South Australia's beloved venues, and its surface throws up a different puzzle for teams to solve on the fly.

Tolmer Speedway, also widely known as Bordertown Speedway, is a premier dirt track venue located in the Tatiara region of South Australia. While the venue's roots date back to the 1970s, it underwent a massive $3 million redevelopment that saw it completely reborn in 2024. The new layout is a state-of-the-art clay oval specifically designed to replicate the world-renowned I-55 Raceway in Missouri, USA. This unique design features steep banking and a wider surface than most traditional Australian tracks, providing a high-speed, multi-lane racing experience that has quickly made it a favorite among drivers and fans alike. The venue is a hub for high-octane action, hosting major national events such as the Sprintcar Speedweek alongside a diverse range of categories including Super Sedans, Formula 500s, and Wingless Sprints. With the addition of advanced VAILO LED lighting, the speedway offers spectacular night racing and entertainment shows that light up the Limestone Coast.
