Since its inception in 1999, Queensland Raceway has served as a vital hub for motorsport in the Ipswich region. Its unique six-turn layout earned it the nickname "The Paperclip," and while the design appears simple on paper, it provides a technical challenge for drivers and riders who must master heavy braking zones and precise corner exits. The track's location in Willowbank makes it a convenient destination for fans traveling from Brisbane or the Gold Coast seeking high-speed thrills. The circuit is celebrated for its exceptional spectator sightlines; the relatively flat terrain and elevated viewing mounds mean fans can watch the action unfold across nearly the entire track from a single vantage point. Beyond hosting the top-tier Supercars Championship, Queensland Raceway is a hive of activity for the local community, featuring frequent drift nights, track days, and the Australian Superbike Championship. Recent major renovations under the ownership of the Tony Quinn Group have modernised the facilities, ensuring it remains a competitive and premier venue for years to come.

Queensland Raceway is located at 133 Champions Way, Willowbank, approximately 20 minutes west of Ipswich. Visitors coming from Brisbane should follow the Cunningham Highway and take the turn-off at the Willowbank exit. The venue shares an entry precinct with the Willowbank Raceway drag strip, so look for signage indicating the circuit entrance. On-site parking is plentiful with large grassed areas available for spectators, though these can become dusty in the dry or muddy after heavy rain. For major race meets, it is advisable to arrive early to secure a prime spot on the viewing banks. Disability parking and access to the paddock area are typically provided near the main control tower.
