V8 Dirt Modifieds are a full-bodied open-wheel class, descended from the American dirt modified. The traditional setup is a naturally aspirated cast-iron V8 capped at 361 cubic inches, self-starting and running through a two-speed gearbox to a quick-change differential, on Sprintcar-sized wheels. The result is tough, close, spectacular racing from a car that pairs big V8 power with nimble, purpose-built handling.
